Meet Johnny

Johnny has been a guest at Soul Hub for over 15 years! He first came to Soul at a time in his life where he felt lost and alone. Like many of our guests, he came for the food but got so much more out of the connection and acceptance into the Soul Family.

It’s a highlight of my week coming here. The people are friendly and make you feel comfortable and especially welcome, I can’t express that enough. I enjoy coming here.

Over his 15 years at Soul, Johnny’s used all our services but finds the Soul Laundry the most helpful.

For the last few weeks, Johnny’s had to travel from Bar Beach on foot to get to Soul everyday. Thanks to an incredibly generous donor we had two brand new bikes (one red and one blue) donated to Soul and we were able to give Johnny one which will make travelling around town so much quicker and easier.

Why did Johnny choose the red bike? “Because it goes faster!”
