Nick came to Soul in a moment in his life, when he was down and out with life, while also battling to be a dad to a beautiful 1-year-old son. While battling drug addiction, living in accommodation that was unsafe and the temptation of drugs all around him, emotionally stressed, and barely trying to survive the best he could.
Nick found Soul, and we found him, and the journey began. Over the next 8 months, this young man threw all he had at changing his life. The journey began.
Around May 2021 Soul found Nick new accommodation as he was now living on the streets at this time, we placed Nick as a volunteer so every day he would come to Soul and the amazing volunteers took him under their wing, he did though have many nights of sleep on the lounge too along the journey. (Had to put that in).
Nick found family, friends, and support and as he would say a meal every day at Soul where all different volunteers would encourage, and mentor him along his journey. We had a saying through the good, bad, ugly we were there each time.
At Soul a beautiful volunteer (with her family) invited Nick to come and stay with them, as a part of their dream is to help people in their life along their journey by having a place of restoration for them.

I sit here at the beginning of 2022 and our Nick has inspired so many people from all walks of life, of a young man journey to be all he can be, he has beaten his addiction, he has a home, he has full-time work, he has a license, he has a car (he worked for), he has a tinny (small boat), he has no debt, he is a Dad, he is the Nick he wants to be and the future is looking great for him.
Nick has personally become an adopted son to our family and also to our volunteer family where he lives now on The Farm, and we all couldn’t be prouder of this young man. So glad Nick found us here at Soul.
